By Noba Mumbai Sneh Milan 8 Dec 2018 – A Report
Much awaited annual event for every Nobite NOBA Mumbai meet ‘sneh Milan’ was organized on 8th Dec’18 at Navi Mumbai Police Head Quarters Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai.
It witnessed a vibrant family gathering of around 90 persons including 50 Hatians.
Credit for success of the event (if any) goes to people who came in large numbers in spite of traffic and other issues. Shriman R G Marathe jee (Ex Principal of Netarhat Vidyalaya) along with Mata Ji and Aishwarya travelled 90 KM to join and bless the event. some of us travelled 50 KM within Mumbai to participate in this Sneh Milan.
Program started with the Vidyalaya gaan followed by opening remark by Marathe Shriman ji who showered his blessings on gathering by highlighting relevance of ancient gurukul in urban education and brotherhood globally.
These were the moments where all the old boys of Netarhat school revive their old memories. These memories include singing, kavita path(poem recitation), karaoke, talent show etc.
Many of them performed on stage:
Sh N N Pandey recited dialogues from Loha Singh ,Sh Sachin Pandey sung song on karaoke ,Sh Alok Ranjan 1981 batch was forced to recite a Hindi Kavita, he really did well (with Moral & physical support on stage by another Anandvasi and his batch mate Sh Rajesh Mishra 1981 batch).Sh Mukesh Mihir won the hearts of gathering by his song and music on mouthorgan.V K Tarun also grabbed the opportunity (सरासन तान बस अवसर यही है, घडी फिर और मिलने को नहीं है) and sung a solo song and one song where Mukesh Mihir ji accompanied on mouthorgan.Kids and spouses also entertained the gathering.
Baby Aarohi (D/o Ravi Prakash 92-96) and Master Moon (S/o Sh Raj Kumar Bara 1986 batch) played Papa kahte hain (QSQT song) and entertained the gathering.We had privilege to listen song in melodious voice of Mrs Sangita (W/o Sh Rajesh Mishra 1981 batch)There were many activities and events organized for kids and ladies specially.
Mrs Rashmi (w/o Sh Rajesh Ranjan 1979 batch) won the glass reshuffeling, In this game 14 ladies participated and all of them performed very well.
Food Needless to say that ecstasy goes up with delicious food and it so happened. An appeal for Gh was well received by participants.Temptation of the sneh milan was live enough to notice that every single individual including children has enjoyed the gathering.Program was ended up with the vote of thanks by V K Tarun ( 87-91).
Every NOBA was gifted a souvenir as a sweet memory of this program.
How we fared in this program:
Attendance could have been better with another venue location considering Mumbai as a whole and more active volunteers could have converted passive members into an active participant.
Engagement: We had overall good engagement for family members specially ladies. It will help us in bringing them again in next meet (usually boring for family members). We would have done even better, We could not execute many activities due to late arrival of people and delayed start of program.
At this moment I would like to show my gratitude to Sh Sanjay Kumar (1973 batch) for not only providing us venue and logistic support but he was personally involved and gave time from his busy schedule of policing. We thank Roshita Bhabhi for being there in the event (In spite of some other urgency both of them joined us)
I could see and appreciate Sushma Di (D/o Sh A K Sinha Sriman ji) acting as a host and engaging the NOBA specially seniors and introducing them to others.We appreciate a childlike enthusiasm of Sh N N Pandey ji in activities of our program

Finally we would like to thank our team for their hard work to make it a success story
Bhushan ji designed our Souvenir and Banner, Shubham IITB student designed Invite and badges. Ramakrishna and Ravikant was very active in mobilizing the members but all of them could not join us on D day.
Our team worked under guidance and leadership of Sandeep Varma ji, Yogesh ji and Sameer ji
I would like to appreciate and thank for efforts of Ravi Prakash who finalized the program and planned and executed activities (to engage ladies and kids) in the program.
Thanks to Registration team, for their efforts during program (Akhilesh, Ravikant Jyoti, Saurabh (2) and Dhanesh) and Bipul, Subrat and Shailendra for overall coordination.
Finally I would like to thank every individuals who worked directly or indirectly for success of this program.
With this hope we all intend to have another get together soon and it should be initiated and executed by our better halves. In that way we can have much better program.
