Dear Cricket lovers,

Tokyo Premier League enters its 11th year with a bang. Men in Blue has partnered with bitgrit to present the most coveted and oldest tape tennis ball cricket tournament in Japan on 18-19 May ( Saturday- Sunday) 2019. Backup dates are May 25th and 26th. (In case of rain) Thanks for your great patience and support as always. TPL 2019 schedule is ready and published in CricHQ.

Total 16 team will be hunting for bitgrit TPL 2019 CHAMPIONS Trophy this year ..All the best to all participants.

Our food partner will be Delhi Dhaba, Nishi Kasai. Understanding it’s a day long tournament starting from morning hours. So arrangement will be from light Chai-Lassi-Samosa-Pakoda ( Morning 07:30 )  to heavy Chaat items & Biryani-Raita ( During Lunch till 02:30-3:00 PM ) will be taken care of. Rules & Regulations

Matches will be played on 2 grounds, find below TPL ground location details

Edogawa Ground TPL

Ground Location:

From Koiwa Station, Please take BUS no. 72 towards Mizue/Ichinoe station     and get down at Edogawa-byoin-mae.

From Shinozakai station, please take bus no. 72 towards Koiwa ground and get down at Edogawa-byoin-mae.

For Google map search, Type Edogawa Cricket ground, 2 Chome Higashikoiwa, Edogawa, and Tokyo, Japan

TOURNAMENT RULES:

Most of the ICC rules will be followed with below exceptions/highlights.

No Ball (Free Hit will be awarded)

  • Crossing bowling marks. ·
  • Bouncer clearly over the shoulder ( After one warning in an over )
  • Full toss over the hip.

Wide Ball

  • Ball clearly outside the off side mark. ·
  • Anything down the leg side stump and batsmen.

Dead Ball

  • If the ball slips out of the bowler’s hand and does not cross the stumps then it will be treated as dead ball. No runs conceded.
  • If the ball slips out of the bowler’s hand and cross the stumps then it will be treated as normal delivery. In this case wide / no ball rules will come into picture.

LBW

There are no LBW rule in TPL

Byes, Leg Byes, Overthrow

  • Allowed

OVERS RESTRICTIONS

  • Matches will be of 8 over (over will be reduced in-case of delay)
  • Max Two over per bowler, need to use at least 5 bowlers in an innings
  • Max 5 fielders allowed on leg side throughout the inning.
  • One over will be deducted for every 4 mints delay

Note: Only registered player in CricHq will be eligible to participate.

MATCH FORMAT DETAILS

Total Registered Team: 16

Time: Day 1 -> 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM

Note: Each team has to report on ground 15 minutes prior to the match without fail.

  • Top 8 team (T1-T8) will go to Quarter Final directly based on points and net run rate calculation in cricHq.
  • Teams finishing last T9-T16 will participate in Blue League.
  • They will not be eligible for team prizes except Blue League winner trophy but individual prizes can still be won. Hence, your fight for prize will never end.
  • Day 2 Match will start at 07:00 AM and match schedule will be announced on Day 1 evening.
