By #JCL Div3 Match between MIB & KEIO University.

After a nail biting finish in #JCLDiv1 opening match, it was time for Div3 first match. Players were really excited and ready to hunt down the opponent. We had a clear vision of to be on the top and win div3 for the team and every player showed that intent right since we went down to the ground. Throughout the match #MIB has dominated and never let the opponent rise from the fall. Team has swayed the opponent in all the department. With this convincing win MIB has displayed themselves as one of the strongest rival in Div3.
MIB captain Vasanthakumar Raj won the toss and chose to ball first since we didn’t know much about opponent team, it was a right decision (or may be he wanted us to finish the match ASAP to go home early). Finally match started, MIB has started off with their most experienced and best swing bowler Arvind from one end and youngest pace bowler Ashish from the other end. This deadly combination had shake the root of KEIO batting line up. After completion of the first spell of both bowlers, the score was 7 runs in 8 overs with lost of 3 wickets. Later Ameya Keshkamat, @Sugan, Santosh and Chandradev came to the picture and never let the opponent settle down on the wickets. Bowlers did a great job and the whole KEIO team was in pavilion in just 25 overs with 70 runs on score-board.
After the first inning Captain and the whole team was really happy with the overall bowling figures. There was a little upset from the fielding as few catches were dropped. Nevertheless our opener Amol M Vaidya and Vasantha were ready to finish the match so early. They have started hammering the ball from the very start only and banged the bowlers all over the boundaries they also looted 20 runs from the 3rd over of inning. They have shown no mercy to the opponent bowlers and finished the match in just 9 overs.
Later team went to SICG net for practice session. At the end of the match domination level of MIB was Very HIGH. We couldn’t expect a better start of the season.
#bitgrit Most Valuable Player award was given to debutant Ashish Jaiswal for his magical spell (4.1 overs, 2 runs, 4 wickets). Cheers !!
